Dr Peter Wilkinson

Specialist Orthodontist

Dr Peter Wilkinson graduated from the University of Otago in 1989 and worked in general dentistry across New Zealand and the UK before completing his three-year Master’s Degree in Orthodontics in 2000. He moved to the Gold Coast in 2001 and founded Wilkinson Orthodontics in 2004.

Known for his approachable nature and dedication to personalised care, Dr Wilkinson takes pride in getting to know each patient individually and crafting confident smiles with empathy and expertise. He regularly attends professional development courses and is a member of both the Australian Dental Association and the Australian Society of Orthodontics.

Outside of practice, Dr Wilkinson is an avid musician and vintage car enthusiast - especially Kombis. Just don’t get him started unless you’ve got time to spare!

Dr Lanit Anand

Specialist Orthodontist

BDS (Otago), DClinDent (UQ)

Dr Lanit Anand completed his dental training at the University of Otago and pursued his specialist orthodontic training at the University of Queensland. He is a member of the Australian Society of Orthodontics and is committed to continued professional growth through regular training and conferences.

Dr Anand is passionate about delivering high-quality orthodontic care to patients of all ages and believes strongly in the life-changing power of a confident smile. His calm, patient-focused approach ensures every person feels supported and informed.

Outside of the clinic, you’ll find him enjoying time with family, trying new restaurants, and cheering on the New Zealand Warriors.

Dr Amarpreet Atwal

Specialist Orthodontist

BDS (Hons) Sheffield, MClinDent Orth (Distinction)

Dr Amarpreet Atwal earned her dental degree with honours from the University of Sheffield in 2007, followed by roles in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Paediatric, and Special Care Dentistry. She later completed Specialist Orthodontic training and a Senior Orthodontic Consultant post - becoming a Consultant Orthodontist in the UK from 2019 to 2025.

Now part of the Wilkinson Orthodontics team, Dr Atwal brings a warm, meticulous approach to care, helping each patient achieve the best version of their smile. She is an active member of both the British Dental Association and the Australian Society of Orthodontics.

When she’s not in the clinic, she’s often outdoors - running, swimming, or surfing - with a passion for food, travel, and learning new things.

Dr James English

Specialist Orthodontist

BDS (Otago), MDS Ortho (UQ)

Dr James English completed his dental degree at the University of Otago in New Zealand and worked as a general dentist for eight years before pursuing specialist training. He went on to complete a three-year Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics at the University of Queensland.

Dr English is a registered specialist with AHPRA and an active member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists and the Australian Dental Association. He regularly attends conferences and professional development events to stay at the forefront of orthodontic care and technology.

What Dr English enjoys most about orthodontics is the journey with his patients, watching their confidence grow as their smile transforms. For him, it’s not just about straight teeth, but about making a lasting, positive impact on people’s lives.

Outside the clinic, Dr English enjoys time with his wife, their two-year-old daughter, and their spirited miniature schnauzer. On weekends, you’ll find them painting, exploring local beaches, or hunting down great coffee spots.
